Affirmations are positive statements directed at yourself that are used to overcome negative thought patterns.

Basically, they’re a mindset shifting tool.
 
Before you scoff at the powers of words, remember that you mind is always listening, it hears everything that you say and think.

There is actual evidence that daily affirmations activate the reward centers in your brain.

The same study shows affirmations can reduce your stress and increase your well-being.
 
Self-love isn’t always easy.

Although it’s suggested that you write your own personal affirmations, sometimes you just don’t know where to start.

You might be wondering if you have to repeat affirmations out loud for them to work..

While I highly recommend that you do recite the affirmations out loud, there are alternatives.

Set your phone lock-screen or your computer screensaver to show your affirmation.

You can also write out your daily affirmations for self-love onto sticky notes and stick them anywhere around your house, or even in your car!
