Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic when it comes to astrology, pretty much everyone knows their Sun sign.
There are so many different suggestions when it comes to how to practice self care, why not try self care for your zodiac?

There are 12 signs in the zodiac, based on 12 constellations in the Greek tradition, and they span across 4 elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water.
Obviously each of these elements have very different properties.
Let’s look to the stars for self care for your zodiac!

Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius
Like their element, fire signs tend to burn brightly. They’re known for being passionate, spontaneous, competitive and adventurous. Does that sound right?

Exercise
Trying doing a somewhat intense workout – one where you sweat.
Feel your muscles burn!
Exercise gives you endorphins and will help you sweat out any excess energy.
Just make sure to re-hydrate yourself afterwards!
Travel
Take a trip to somewhere new, whether it’s across town or across the world what you’re looking for is a new experience.
Go to a place you’ve never been or do something that you’ve never done before.

Unplug
Take a break from social media.
Combining a competitive spirit with social media can lead to the toxic habit of comparing yourself to others.
Log off to recharge.

They do say that laughter can be the best medicine.
Watch a comedy show or movie to loosen up and release any negative feelings that you may have built up.

Aromatherapy
Smell is one of your most powerful senses. Find a scent that you really enjoy.
This might mean lighting candles, diffusing essential oils or burning incense.

Get Outdoors
Go outside to soak up some sun – with SPF on of course!
Feel the sunlight on your face and breathe in the fresh air.
Just 10-15 minutes spent out in nature can lower your stress levels.
Earth
Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn
Earth signs are the most grounded of all the signs (no surprise there). They tend to be practical, pragmatic, reliable and just a bit stubborn. Does that sound familiar?

Pack a yummy picnic and eat outside in the fresh air.

Prepare yourself a delicious, hearty and healthy meal.
Use fresh ingredients and experiment with spices and recipes.
Then you can indulge in all your hard work.

Gratitude
Practice gratitude to ward off any bad vibes that you may have picked up throughout the day.
To make it more impactful try writing your gratitudes down in a list by hand and really feeling it.
Make Music
Learn or practice playing an instrument.
Creating music is a magical creative outlet and form of self expression.
Learning to play stimulates your brain and improves all sorts of functions.
Practice makes progress and small amounts of regular practice is the best for that.
Listen to Music
If you just aren’t interested in learning to play a musical instrument, or you’re just not musically gifted – don’t despair!
There are plenty of talented creators out there.
There is plenty of music available for you to just listen to.
Listening to music that you enjoy can actually cause your brain to release dopamine.
Go ahead and move your body to the music while you’re at it to potentially double the dose.
Journal
You don’t need to do anything special to journal.
You can just write down your thoughts, the things that you did or how you feel.
Reflection on your past is essential to your future growth.
Air
Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius
Air signs are the real deep thinkers and communicators of the zodiac. They tend to have a curious nature as well as be peace makers. Does that sound like you?
Read
Take a deep dive into a good book and learn something new or be transported to another place.
Read a physical book, e-book or even listen to a book to be fully immersed.

Socialize
Get out of the house and be a bit of a social butterfly.
Humans crave connection, that’s just a fact.
Especially in these times it can be important to go out of your way to interact with others.

Try sitting down to meditate outside and let your mind quiet while you watch the clouds go by.

Brain Dump
Pull out your journal or a piece of paper and do a complete dump of your brain onto the page.
You can also pull up a word document, but I recommend actually writing it out.
Either way, you can record the many, many thoughts buzzing in your brain so your head can be a little quieter.

Drink Green Tea
Sipping green tea can help burn fat and boost your immunity.
All green teas are also high in antioxidants.
Matcha in particular provides a little more energy, but also a little more effort to make.
Listen to Windchimes
Windchimes create relaxing and pleasant sounds that can help reduce your stress levels.
According to the principles of Feng Shui, wind chimes also suppress bad luck and encourage prosperity!

Water
Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces

This could be crafting, drawing, painting, writing or anything else.
Just express yourself creatively in whatever way feels right.

Get Wet
Spend some time out in nature near any body of water.
Depending on where you live this might mean going to the beach, a lake or even a swimming pool.

Or just sit near it to soak in your element.
Hydrate
Drink lots of water and make sure that you are fully hydrated.
You may not like drinking water, but the truth is that a lot of people walk around dehydrated.
While that doesn’t sound like a huge deal it can lead to a lot of medical complications.
So make sure that you drink enough water.
Meditate
Sit and be still.
This can be difficult when you first get started, but the idea isn’t to silence your mind – that will never happen.
It’s about allowing yourself to be fully present in the current moment instead of thinking to the future or ruminating on the past.

Garden
Tending to a garden is both rewarding and (usually) relaxing.
You can try growing anything from flowers to herbs to fruits and vegetables.

Baking is a multisensory experience.
There’s also just something so cozy about it.
Baking can also be a mindful process since you must focus on exact ingredients.

Shower with Eucalyptus
Hanging eucalyptus from your shower head can make your shower feel like a spa experience.
The steam from the heat of the shower releases essential oils from the plant.
It’s good at clearing your congestion and bringing a sense of tranquility.

Those are all the self care for your zodiac ideas I have.
It doesn’t matter what your sign is, everyone needs self care.
You don’t have to just stick to the ones I recommended for your element either!
You are more than an element, or a sign. You are a unique human being.
